Cable on Fire

Gaaah.... Thank God it's over. It all started when I accidentally peered through my window. Was it instinct? Probably. I saw this dude on his scooter parked outside the gate. So I thought okay, probably he wanted to count how many durians from afar or talking on his cell phone.

After a couple of minutes, he said Salaam only to know later that my father in law told me that he rang the bell. So I wore my hijab and answered his Salam. He then told me to call TNB because the pencawang terbakar. Can you believe it I didn't believe him because he looked like a punk@bad guy. Ish ish... me so jahat judging people by the way they look. So I phoned my father in law to ask the TNB number lah but he doesn't have the number. He tried to call my husband but he was unreachable. I tried to call hubby too but couldn't get through. Later he told me that he left his phone in his scooter while practicing Karate moves at TTDI park.

I called 301.. eh salah 103 for the TNB number but of course the line was busy busy busy. Before calling 994 I wanted to make sure whether there was really a fire so I went out to the gate and tiptoed. Yep, there sure was a fire and it's dripping from the end of the live electric cable to the main fuse box. Uh-oh, not good! I was panicking a bit. In the end, I called 994. and reported what was happening. While I was telling the operator the directions there where loud explosion noises and our electric went crazy!!! I can't believe the operator was so calm and he spent like 5 minutes figuring where I lived and in the end, he asked me my address.

Shortly afterwards both my inlaws went down and tried to put off the fire since no one dared to to do anything. My step mother inlaw brought a mop and my father in law pulled the hibiscus bushes, grabbed handfilled of dirt and threw onto the cable until it was put out. Half an hour later around Maghrib(725/730pm ish like that) the firetruck along with a police car arrived and Papa told them what happened. If it weren't for both of my in-laws probably we won't be having electricity by now, so Alhamdulillah... everything is okay. I must say, I'm a little lost without my husband just now when it all happened when I wasn't able to contact him. Alhamdulillah my inlaws where at home all day today which mmg jarang lah they stay at home during weekends but fortunately they chose this day to relax at home. Bersyukur sangat2 oh...
