Hubby's Drawings

Oh God. My hubby's artwork is indeed quite famous among lady bloggers in Malaysia. I found one of his old drawings of Tilmiz from this site to which has merebak to other sites as well. Unfortunately my husband does not hold rights to this drawings. I didn't want to right about it at first but other than widgets and some little doodle's they have put on magazine's for sale... I think people just take paid art just like that and do never ask permission or give any credits. But I guess I should be proud of my hubby's cute drawings used widely...

I don't blame them because probably they too don't know where it comes from. Plus the owner of this production still haven't done anything to protect his creative rights. What to do la right. I think he's okay with it or it's just too complicated to make your art a patent??? Don't ask me, I don't know. It just pisses me off when people use someone's creation to make money and they don't ask permission first. Teringat to the magazine at 7-11 and not this Contest Model Bertudung or any blogger widgets(got credit) I saw.

I don't know why I'm so pissed over such a little thing? Probably I saw how hard hubby came up with the idea and how hard he worked on it. But kesah2 lama ni semua hubby said he doesn't care much. They can do whatever they want because there's not much he can do about it.

My Memories of MJ

Since everyone is sharing their say about MJ I would do one too. As the child of the 80s I am one of the people who grew up listening to MJ's songs and watching his music video's, film's and interveiw's.

The most memorable or should I say crazy memory about MJ in my life is the one I had right before I went to the States. Before that I gotta thank my parent's and my dear old Grandmother(Nenek Payan) for crossing the limits to whatever I am going to write next.

My first celebrity crush was MJ. I think at that time his album Thriller was a hit. I was around 5 years old or so I think when I started to really really like MJ. My favorite song's from that album was Billie Jean's and Beat It, apart from that I also love Ben and my fav music video from MJ is Smooth Criminal. I also totally loved and got hooked to the music video's on MTV on my later years in Illinois.

At 5 I had pictures of MJ and I brought them to sleep. I wanted to stare at MJ's cute face then when I fall asleep. My mom didn't bought me the Thriller cassete so I had to listen to my aunt's cassete at that time. I would listen to it all day long if I didn't have anything better to do. Of course I loved singing along to it and do the dance moves too.

One day my aunt got accepted to a fully boarding school in KK (fortunately) and she brought along her which was my favorite cassette Thriller. I told her it was okay(as if it was mine! Shame on me!) for her to bring along the cassette as long as she brings it back with her whenever she visits my grandmother(We lived at my grandmother's place cause my dad was already in Illinois).

My dad came back from the States one day to help my mom and me with the essentials. I don't remember how many nights before we had to go off that I suddenly remembered I will be parting with my beloved MJ!!! Little that I know, that MJ live in America. All I knew that he was in that cassette tape and I had to bring him along with me before I leave Sabah for a couple of years. Boyfriend pertama tuh. Mana buli kasih tinggal. So pujuk as I might and beind the brat I am, they had no choice but to see my aunt at her school during night time.

When we reached there, I was sobbing my heart out. "Micheal... Micheal!" I said. So they had to see the warden and after that the warden told my parent's and grandmother to see the Principle. I remembered it was a long walk all the way to the Principle's house which was inside the school compound too.

After a long or probably a short talk, we had to go to the warden's place again and then go up the stairs to my aunt's dorm. Then, after a knock I was so happy to see my aunt but still pretended to sob cause I thought if I stopped she wouldn't give her Thriller cassette to me.

You see how I managed to make my parent's and my grandmother drive all the way from Sembulan to Bukit Padang(30 mins drive) and back again for a Thriller cassette? I didn't want a new cassete which was much more better. I wanted the old with marker writings on them. It wasn't the same.

My Favorite MJ Songs

Here are my favorite MJ songs. Ben, Billie Jean, Beat It and Smooth Criminal and We Are the World. MJ, you will always be the King of Pop!!!

Managed to sing the chorus with a bunch of other kids(holding hands) in primary school(Illinois) during some event. This song is brilliant. Watching it again brought tears to my eyes. Hubby told me if it was a happy memory, I should be smiling to this song and not crying. Aww... thank you sayang that was nice of you to say to me.
